Barbara Anna Husar handed over 1001 leaves of trees with wishes of children for the future of the earth atop the triple watershed in Swiss canton of Grisons to the winds and the three directions of flow of the water. The RITUAL FOR EARTH is inspired by the Tibetan Lung-Ta ritual. When crossing passes, good wishes for this world are handed over to the wind with the saying "Lha gye lo" - The Gods will prevail.
Barbara Anna Husar übergab 1001 Blätter von Bäumen mit Wünschen von Kindern an die Zukunft der Erde über der Dreifachwasserscheide in Graubünden dem Wind und den drei dort entspringenden Fließrichtungen des Wassers. Inspiriert ist das RITUAL FÜR DIE ERDE vom Lung-Ta-Ritual. Bei Passüberquerungen übergeben die Tibeter*innen mit dem Spruch „Lha gye lo“ – Die Gött*innen werden siegen – dem Himmel gute Wünsche für diese Welt.
The RITUAL FOR EARTH is a contribution to the SHARING WATER project,an initiative of the ONE BODY OF WATER Association, which is dedicated to the hydrological and cultural significance of the continental watershed and the management of water as a resource in Europe.
Das RITUAL FÜR DIE ERDE ist Barbara Anna Husars Beitrag zur Initiative WASSER TEILEN der ONE BODY OF WATER Association, die sich der hydrologischen und kulturellen Bedeutung der kontinentalen Wasserscheide und dem Umgang mit der Ressource Wasser in Europa widmet.
THE TRIPLE WATERSHED AT THE PASS LUNGHIN
Located in the Swiss Alps, Pass Lunghin at 2644 meters above sea level is the most important junction of hydrological spaces in Central Europe. At the pass, the main European watershed bifurcates in three directions. Numerous springs rise in its immediate vicinity. From here, the Inn (Danube), the Mera (Po) and the Julia (Rhine) carry the waters towards the three maritime destinations - the Black Sea, the Mediterranean and the North Sea.
DIE DREIFACHWASSERSCHEIDE AM PASS LUNGHIN
Der in den Schweizer Alpen gelegene Pass Lunghin auf 2644 Meter über dem Meer ist der wichtigste Knotenpunkt hydrologischer Räume in Zentraleuropa. Auf dem Pass gabelt sich die europäische Hauptwasserscheide in drei Richtungen. Von hier aus fließt das Wasser in drei Meere – das Schwarze Meer, das Mittelmeer und die Nordsee. Zahlreiche Quellen entsprin-gen in seiner unmittelbaren Umgebung. Der Inn (Donau), die Mera (Po) und die Julia (Rhein) führen die Wasser in Richtung der drei Meere fort.
